How PRISMA reads
A look at the engine beneath the experience: what Tier 1, 2, and 3 actually mean, a worked example of a reading, and the chart patterns that shape every insight.

The Nine Indices
Nine ways a relationship quietly reveals itself.
Every relationship is shaped by a handful of recurring forces. PRISMA organizes them into nine indices that describe how a connection begins, where it's tested, what helps it endure, and the direction it's naturally moving.

Reads from
RELATIONAL / CORE / DRIVE dimension affinities, plus supportive major aspects between the two charts.
Honesty
Needs both charts for the aspect lift. Without magnetic contacts the lift is 0 — the dimension baseline still stands. Tier 1 date-only vibe Attraction is a separate estimate path, not this index.

Honesty
Engine key is `charge`. Dimension-only — unknown Ascendant does not mute this score the way SURFACE-heavy indices do.
FrictionPressure+Where two ways of being meet resistance.
The differences in temperament, pace, or expectation that create tension.

SURFACE / DRIVE / IDENTITY affinity mismatches, plus challenging cross-chart aspects (incl. Mars/Saturn → partner Lagna weights).
Honesty
High = more heat, not “bad forever.” Aspect half weakens without full charts / Lagna. Separate from the synastry summary’s own friction number.

How care, effort, influence, and emotional investment are shared over time.

Honesty
Stored as imbalance (high = uneven). Product “Balance” frames the inverse. Needs trustworthy planet strengths on both sides.
StabilitySafety+Whether the connection finds solid ground.
The ability of the relationship to remain steady once the first excitement settles.

Without birth time, SURFACE defaults to 50 and softens that 15% slice toward the middle.
ContainmentSafety+How much emotion the relationship can hold.
Its capacity to carry vulnerability, intensity, and difficult moments without coming apart.

Derived stability + repair scores, plus CORE / RELATIONAL / IDENTITY affinities.
Honesty
Engine key is `resilience`. Not a raw aspect score — it rises when steadiness and repair land together.
ReconnectionSafety+The path back after distance or hurt.
How naturally the relationship repairs and returns to closeness after rupture.

Engine key is `repair`. Asc-unknown softens the 20% SURFACE term to the midpoint.

Honesty
Shared-rhythm similarity — not “same signs only.” Missing Ascendant pulls the average toward 50 on that fifth.
AlignmentDirection+Whether you’re growing toward the same horizon.

Honesty
Shared direction blend. Distinct from the intimacy lens `expression` stat (Moon–Mercury KP affinity) — that is not one of the nine.
Shared base: five dimension affinities (Moon, Venus, Mars, Sun, Ascendant) from KP lord/sub-lord, dignity, element, and house fit. The nine scores then feed Closeness / Friendship / Build lens overalls — tap a card for that index's formula.
Relationship dynamics
PRISMA names the weather pattern.
The dynamic is not a verdict. It is a starting point for the story: what feels easy, what gets charged, and what the relationship asks both people to practice.
How it works

Birth data
Date, place, and time set your input tier. PRISMA only reads as deep as the data you trust — and says so plainly.

Personal structure
The chart becomes psychological language — inner rhythm, planet condition, life chapters, and depth under commitment — before it becomes a relationship report.

Relationship field
Two profiles are compared as a living system: pull, pressure, rhythm, repair, and direction.

Practical read
The final layer names what is happening and gives the user one useful next move.
Input depth
What Tier 1, 2, and 3 mean.
Tiers are not paywalls — they are honesty about birth data. More verified input unlocks more of the chart. A pair always reads at the weaker of the two sides.
Tier 1

Unlocks: A Vibe Read: sun/moon-style rhythm, element chemistry, and a first sense of pull vs. tension between two people.
Honest first pass — not a full chart. Houses, Lagna, and exact synastry stay locked until more data lands.
Tier 2

Unlocks: Moon placement and classical emotional pacing (including Ashtakoota-style temperament fit). Hero planet condition and dasha-season themes sharpen.
Stronger on feeling and timing language. Still no Ascendant or house-based cards — those need a clock time.
Tier 3

Date + place + birth time
Unlocks: Full chart: Lagna, houses, synastry contacts, drishti/dosha layers, D9 depth, and the richest pair middle.
Maximum depth PRISMA offers. Pair depth follows the weaker side — if one person is Tier 1, the shared field stays Tier 1.
